For the first time ever, The Sound has been nominated for a GMA Dove Award! The debut single from their Make It Count album, “Can I Get A Witness”, garnered a Top 5 nomination for “Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year”. The song had previously topped the charts, hitting #1 in Gospel music in July, 2020.

“The last two months have been absolutely wild.” Shares Levi. “A number one song, a magazine cover, and now a Dove nomination? There’s nothing we can do but thank God for how he’s blessed us.”

Jacob continues, “Just to be nominated for a Dove Award is an incredible honor. It’s something that’s just always been a dream to us. Now, it’s a reality. Thank you to all of the members of the Gospel Music Association for considering us!”

Rob sums it up this way: “The Lord has blessed our family in so many ways. This is far beyond anything we could ever think or ask. Thank you, Lord, and thank you to the Gospel Music Association!”

For the first time ever, The Sound has been nominated for a Singing News Fan Award! In May of 2020, they earned a Top 5 Nomination for Favorite New Artist of the year. The Singing News Fan Awards have long been a staple in the world of Gospel Music with nominations and final votes coming directly from fans of the genre.

The Sound has been very busy in 2019 and 2020. The band burst onto the Gospel Music scene with an acclaimed major-label debut album, Make It Count. The first single off of that project, “Can I Get A Witness”, was the group’s first #1 song. Clearly, Gospel Music fans are already embracing this new trio!
