The Sound’s latest album, God Is Real, has won the 2022 Dove Award for Country Album of the Year! Released on April 29th, 2022, God Is Real has already experienced a tremendous reception by audiences around the world. In its first five months of release, it received more than 3 million digital streams as well as exceptional reviews and feedback from the Christian music industry.
God Is Real received two Dove nominations in 2022. The full names of both categories are “Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year” and “Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year”. The former was won by Dolly Parton and various artists while the latter was taken home by God Is Real. Nominated in the category alongside The Sound were fellow artists such as Dolly Parton and Gary LeVox.
